Week 33

• Lily is now trying to throw things. She picks something up, puts it to her ear, and then tries to throw it. A lot of times she forgets to let go or maybe she just doesn't know that she should let go. It's cute. I think she is a righty 'cause she does it primarily with her right arm. (See the video below!)
• On Tuesday, Dan and I took Lily to a Gymboree "Mommy & Me" class. The first class is free just to see if you like it. Dan and I enjoyed the class as well as Lily. At first Lily just wanted to take in her new surroundings. There was only one other mommy and baby there and Lily was just fixated on the little girl named Juliana. She was 8 months old and it was nice to see Lily interact with a baby around her age. Lily really liked the parachute time and having the bubbles blown on her. Whenever Lily gets excited about something she really likes she breathes in and out really hard and waves her arms around. She was doing a lot of that during these two activities! The one thing that Lily REALLY LOVED was the very last activity. It was playing peek-a-boo with a clown that went in and out of a cone on a stick. It was a puppet clown and made Lily laugh so hard. The other baby just stared at it, but Lily went full belly laughs for it. It was the best! Too bad the one class a week for 17 weeks is $486 plus a $45 membership fee. Needless to say, we will not be signing lily up for more classes. I have other things up my sleeve for Lily though…more on that in the next blog post.
• I have been inspired to get all I can done in Lily's baby brag book. I have completed all I can for now. We have to wait for new things to come up, like Halloween and whenever her first tooth decides to pop up.
• Thursday night we finally found out what it's like to have a sleepless night - Lily is sick. Not fun. At first we thought she was just teething, and maybe she is, but she is running a fever of 101.9. We'll be taking her to the doctor tomorrow (Saturday) to see if it is a cold. More on that in next week's post.
