Dr. Steven Palter and staff were amazing. You walk in the doors and you don't need to sign in, they say hello to you by name right away. If you are having fertility/infertility problems, Dan and I highly recommend Gold Coast IVF. You feel like you're part of their family from the moment you walk in.

The Business of Being Born was one of the first documentaries I saw that really made me question my birth plan. It has a lot of good information about birth in the United States. I highly recommend this to anyone who is pregnant or who is planning on becoming pregnant.

Gaia Midwifery is where Dan and I will be going now instead of the obstetrician. Our nurse-midwife, Dale Cook, is very knowledgeable and kind. The midwives there will do home-births as well as births in a hospital so there are choices for your birth plan. If you're looking for a midwife on Long Island, please consider Gaia Midwifery.

I will be giving birth at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) in East Meadow, NY. Our midwife will be helping birth our baby in the water birthing room. It is the only hospital on Long Island where you can have a water birth. The statistics on this hospital for giving birth are the best out of all the hospitals on Long Island.

Destination Maternity is a great place to shop for maternity clothes. Dan and I walked in for the first time and was greeted right away from a very friendly sales associate. You can also shop with them online.
