Lily Ends Her 14th Week

Lily is growing up right before our eyes. She can now hold her bottle all by herself. OK, so I have to put her tiny little hands in place, but SHE holds it!

I had vertigo two weeks ago and needed to get a VAT Test (Vestibular Auto-Rotation Test) done. I get vertigo at least two times per year so it's about time they're testing me for a cause. I'll get the results back next week. Hopefully nothing major is wrong with me. The medication for the vertigo seems to always work so that's a good thing. It's so difficult having something wrong or being sick when you have a baby. Luckily for me my mother didn't have work when I got the vertigo. I called her early in the morning to come over and help with Lily and to take me to the doctor. Thank God for moms!

What A Great Week!

The top 5 reasons this week was AWESOME!!!!!!!!

#5:
Lily has graduated from #1 diapers to #2. This is only awesome because Lily is getting bigger. The not awesome part is bigger diapers = bigger stinkies. Oh well.

#4:
Lily now fits into her 3-6 month size clothes. Even though her 3 month size clothes still fit her…sorta, I think she will be more comfy in the bigger size. This is especially true for her sleepers. Lily's just a little too long to wear them in the 3 month size.

#3:
A bigger baby means a bigger meal. Lily is now up to 6 ounces about every 3 hours. She does stick with her own schedule when it comes to being hungry: 8:30am, 12pm, 3:30pm, 7pm, and 10pm (give or take a half hour). That's right everyone who noticed: LILY SLEEPS FROM 10:30 pm (when she finishes her bottle) TO 7:30am! At 7:30am I get up with her to change her diaper then it's back to bed with Mommy until about 8:30am. I love it! She's so good to me letting me sleep all night. What a good little Lily!

#2:
The weather in the beginning of the week was amazing! Lily and I took walks up to the train station to meet Dan as he got off the train from work. I love walking home from the station with my fantabulous husband and baby!!

And the #1 reason this week was AWESOME:

That's right everybody. Lily rolled over!!!!!!! She did it for the first time yesterday but I was too slow with the video camera to catch it - twice! Then this morning I did tummy time with her and while I was opening the video camera to tape her, she rolled over again. I was too late to catch it. Luckily though, Lily rolled over two more times for me - both caught on video!

This week was so good I wonder what next week will bring.

WOW! 3 Months Old!!

Our Easter Sunday Photo
Lily made it through her first Easter. We went over my parent's house after having a lazy morning. Dan and I can't wait for Lily to be old enough to dye eggs and hunt for them Easter morning. We decided not to get her an Easter Basket this year. We thought it would be a waste, plus I would want to keep it for all of her Easters and we just don't have the room right now. Maybe next year.

Since Lily turned 3 months old today, Dan and I decided to get her photo taken at Sears. We will get the photos next week and can't wait! I took the photo that's above this morning. I've taken a 1 month and 2 month shot with Lily laying on the floor and will continue to do so until she's a year, maybe 2. Then I'm gonna do a photo slideshow. She's already changed so much in just 3 months! I'll post the photos we got at Sears when I get them.

Lily is starting to notice her hands - sorta. She waves them in front of her face, holds one there, then touches her nose. It's cute! Her new thing is grabbing her blanket or burp cloth with both hands and  then she covers her face with it. Lily also is starting to roll over. Not quite there yet, but she can roll her top half over. Her bottom gets stuck. Tummy time is lots of fun to watch now!

Proud Parents

Last Saturday Dan and I took Lily to get her picture taken with the Easter Bunny. We went to the Broadway Mall and waited on line with other parents and their children. It was exciting to be a part of "that crowd" and to get to do these types of things now.

Lily was awesome. She didn't cry once. It was funny trying to get her to look at the camera. Lily was looking all over the place trying to figure out where she was. A crowd of people formed to watch as the picture people called her name and waved squeaky stuffed animals in front of her. Everyone thought she was adorable. We were proud parents!

This morning I decided to put Lily in bed with me before getting up for the day. She was sleeping until I got up to make her bottle. When I went back into the room Lily was talking to herself and smiling. I wonder who was in there with her?

She's been really good this past week and gives me anywhere from 7 to 9 hours of sleep at night! This is great since she will only be 12 weeks old tomorrow. I hope she continues to be this good.
